Finding the house that you want can be a problem. Finding the house that you want while living hundreds of miles away from it is an enormous problem. Lots of people are faced with this problem on a regular basis: you need to move to a different house in another city or even another country and you need to have it available for you on a relative short notice. That means that you don’t have the time to go look at the houses yourself and then move permanently and you can’t live in a temporary residence, be it a hotel or someone’s house, while you look for your own.
Before you had the internet the only solution to this predicament was to trust that the agent on the other side of the telephone would find you a house to your specifications. But nowadays you can use the internet to at least look at pictures from different houses and, if not pick one, at least narrow the selection down substantially. You can look for a house anywhere in the UK, for example, and you will be given all the information about each house, as well as info about UK house prices and conditions online.
